Christian Education is an important part of First Baptist Church of Sherwood. It provides a pathway toward Christ-likeness as we grow up Christians. Preschoolers are taught as newborns that God loves them, and people in the church love them, and they are special. As they grow up, they learn about God and the message of the Bible as they learn Bible stories and their lessons. As children get older they are exposed to Christianity and challenged to accept Jesus as Savior. For those that are Christians, classes are held regularly to help us grow in our Christian life. Youth and Adults are challenged regularly to learn a new skill or deepen their Christian life.

Our Sunday School meets on Sunday morning and provides the primary small group opportunity for members and guests. Classes are provided for all ages. We attempt to keep classes smaller so that care and love can be shared. These classes are our principal means of support for one another. In our classes, we can love and care for one another

Our goals are:

• Teach the elements of Christianity.
• Minister to the needs of class members and our community.
• Equip to minister to others and share your faith (to make a difference in your world).
• Reach people for Christianity and Bible study.
