The Invitation
God said through Jeremiah 29:11: “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future….” As you seek the leadership of God for His purpose in your life, let me invite you to become a part of First Baptist Church, where we will love you, minister to you and stand along side you, doing all within our power to help you fulfill God’s great plan for your life. It would be my great joy to be your pastor and, if in any way I can answer your questions or pray with you, please do not hesitate to call.
Paul McClung, Pastor
Everyone seeks something in life, but few know how to find it. The truth is God has been seeking you.
Jesus came "to seek and save those who are lost." (Luke 19:10)
God "wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth." (1 Timothy 2:4)
Now it is up to you to seek Him.
We have all decided to try life our way but God wants us to try it His way. - "All of us have strayed away like sheep." (Isaiah 53:6) "The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus." (Romans 6:23).
God provided one way for us to know Him and that way is through Jesus Christ. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
Tell God that you have done things wrong in your life. Put your trust in Him and give your whole life to Him. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."(Romans 10:9) "If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me."(Jeremiah 29:13)
Are you willing to pray and give God your life right now? Jesus, I know that I have done things wrong against You. I am sorry. I believe that You died on the cross and that You came back to life to take away my sin. Please forgive me and give me a new life in You. From this day forward, I give You full control of my life. Amen.
"For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks." (Luke 11:10)
