Mother's Day Out

First Baptist Church of Sherwood Mother's Day Out Program meets Monday-Thursday September through May (from the first Tuesday following Labor Day through the last Thursday before Memorial Day). Program hours are 9:00 am to 2:00pm daily. The closings for Pulaski County School System apply to this program.

First Baptist Church of Sherwood's Mother's Day Out Program is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Sherwood. We are a licensed and Quality Accredited program. Mother's Day Out is for all preschool children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K. It is dedicated to maintaining a spiritual ministry in keeping with the Church's purpose and goals. Our purpose as a Christian organization is to perform a service to parents and provide quality care within a loving and educational environment for children.

The program is governed by the First Baptist Church of Sherwood, the Minister of Education, the Preschool Council, and the Mother's Day Out Director, all of whom are responsible for the overall program policies and procedures.

A registration fee of $50 per child per school year will be charged and must be paid at the time of registration.

CURRICULUM

Teachers use the WEE Learn Curriculum Guide from the Southern Baptist Convention and material from workshops and other professional resources to plan activities. These are coordinated with the MDO Director. The curriculum is carefully planned to provide a solid foundation in all areas in accordance with the developmental level of the children. We use small group learning activity groups with hands on activities for most teaching.

Please join us on Tuesday August 31 from 10-12 or on Thursday Sept 2 from 6-8pm. This is a great time to meet teachers and finish up registration paperwork.
